mia_exposure_photographic in Nuke

#1

Hello everyone,

Some months ago I started to “port” the mia_exposure_photographic shader into nuke
This is a really cool shader but the fact that it’s not applied to the passes (like diffuse, reflection ecc) and you have to guess how to grade it again when comping was a little bit frustrating to me :). Furthermore I wanted to learn how to make nuke gizmos and this seemed a good occasion!

The node is made with some nuke standard nodes and some expressions (the burn highlights for example) and the behavior is almost perfectly the same
The project got stuck because I was not able to figure out the behavior for the crush black and white point sliders. Now I decided to start working on it again and I would really love to be able to finish it… it’s almost done!
I´m posting here because I did a lot of research and data collection but without any luck and I was wondering if anyone would like to help me, with material, hints, papers or whatever.
In the past I read quite a lot of threads of people looking for something like this and I think that it could be a nice tool for the community!
