I did this in summer 2005 and it was animated in messiah. Lady is full 3D model rendered in cell style. The agency was Bruketa&Zinic and the client was TDR, a tobacco company.

nice. So smooth. I have the sudden urge to smoke even though I have never smoked in my life.
I’m loving all these productions that are popping out of the wood work! Movies. . . Commercials. . . Christmas specials. yay!
well I just watched that six times in a row. So beautiful! If stuff like this and Fred’s Christmas film should be featured on the front page Messiah could really bust out alot more. I’m learning Messiah as fast as I can, and this is verry inspiring.
ooohh… nice stuff. The cloth movement is really attractive.
Hair looks like its been hand-deformed on a 2D plane… true? Works surprisingly well…
Not quite 100% with the way the color fields interact / overlap, but - hey… you guys know my hang for NPR. Its a great looking color palette and visual style!
Rendered in messiah?
The cloth was done in LW, ClothFX.
Hair was also done with ClothFX but I used some weightmaps for several cloth properties to get a controllable result. I had to use EditFX to get rid of object interpenetration. Hair collided with several animated collision spheres.
It was rendered in LW.
I am glad you all liked it.
You have my appreciation also!! ![]()

The cloth really livens things up throughout the sequence. Nice fluid animation movement, although some cuts are a bit jarring IMO
Excellent achievement!!
