Some of you who use Messiah are probably from the Lightwave camp…
Do Messiah’s bones deform the object in a way that is better looking than Lightwave? I don’t have too much problem animating in Lightwave(except for the slowness, but I can get around that), but getting the joints to deform correctly is a major pain.
Let’s say Messiah makes better deformations…when sending the bone animation from Messiah to LW, will LW bones deform the object the same way Messiah does? Probably not. So would I have Messiah’s great animation keyframes plus LW’s crappy deformation?
And you don’t send messiah’s animation to LW’s bones, but you send the displaced mesh to LW, either through a direct connection, or through mdd files, like with Point Oven. So you always get the exact same deformation in LW than what you have in messiah - whooot
