Mesh areas flipped after adding animation?

#1

Hi,

I am generating an FBX model via the SDK. I attached a single FBX file that shows my issue.

If you import the FBX into Maya without animations, you can move the skeleton/etc., add animations, and it looks fine.

If you import the FBX into Maya with animations, the mesh is flipped about an axis.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Not sure if it’s a problem with the mesh weight, skeleton orientation, or animation curves. I don’t have a good way to debug this…

Thanks!

Hi,
I tried the way you said everything is in tact. Check Here

Hmm… can you tell me the steps you did to import/etc.? I noticed the fbx you attached has a single parent node, and the animation name is called Take001.
This is what I see when I import: (left is w/ animations, right is w/o animations)

Thanks!
