Mentalray Rendering Artifact Issues

I am experiencing an artifact issue with mental ray. I have attached an image to showcase what it looks like. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

I suspect this thread is in the wrong place, but nevermind. Years ago I had a similar problem with MR, except the missing squares appeared black. In my case I believe it was a lack of RAM, or not allowing MR to access enough system memory.
