I am trying to create a headlight but cannot get it to work. I have created geometry for the shell and the lense and put a light in it. I am using mental ray and currently the lense uses a neon material to provide extra illumination to the surrounding scene. it doesn’t however…
I have the following questions:
1 - what would be causing this?
RCGI 0.2 error 361001: photon emission shader returned miFALSE: aborting photon tracing
2 - what is the best material to use for the lense
3 - what type of light should i use to illuminate?
4 - how do i create a volumetric effect?
