Memory Requirement for Placer Deposit

Hi evryine just wodering what are the minimum tequirement s for using PD, ias i have a MacBook Pro with only 1gb of ram, i might run into difficulties , for example i wantefd to create a flock of bees or birds or a bank of fish there is always the chance of creating basic blanes and texture those but i will like to see ifis is posible with my MasBookPro.
ANd another thing what about Paraluminoand shaders products? Are they emory intensive.I only have 1gb.

Hi Edgard,

Most of these plug-ins were written on old G4s so they will have no problems on a MacPro :wink:

I have used PD on a G4 500ghz 1GB ram and had no problems. I did not create millions of objects though, only thousandsā€¦

Well i have a Mac Book Pro so i dont have the big monster yet.:slight_smile:

What is missing some 3d motion graphics,all is done in afetr effects and C4D some of it is done in EI but most is AE due to the time that things goes out on the air. ANyways the 3d look is kind of hated here in Europe unless it has a 2d look. Thani s fine but everything shiny and too silver is most of the time rejected in Spain.

hi CJ fantastic examples of thingas you could do with Xpressionist. For me xp has been a nightmare since logo and basic i could never get it into my head even Expressionsin a fter effects are very hard to understand , I wonder how hard could it be to learn the basics of XP. Like the deformation attach to a path, very useful stuff. You mentioned that waill act on bones or it acts on a deformation region. Where did you begin , what will be the starting point for someone jusat starting with xpresioniast. I sure will love to learn it. It could solve a lot of problems.
Thankas for the plug in , but i am usaing 7.01 so i might think camera has some issues with it coz i am not able to render, wel thanks anyways.i should try tomorrow

Well i have tried many times to render using the instance plugin without luck, i am using v7.01. It workas fine on Animator but when i try to render it launches Camera and a few seconds later Camera just quits on me.
Anyone awith the same problem?

Is Instancer still a Mac only plug-in? It sounds VERY useful. Iā€™d love to be able to use it on my PC.

Honestlyā€¦ I dont have a PC, no real way to compile for PCā€¦ so that is whyā€¦ not a personal thing :slight_smile:
