Hey J.S:
No worries, I appreciate the detailed responce. I see what you are talking about and I believe that the wing of the spacefighter (under the robot with tracks) is an optical illusion due to the angle of the wing in direct conjunction with the perspective. In this perticular case, the combination of the two make for an odd visual.
The first image (jetcar) - thanks for the thumbnail- I think I know what you mean. I am carring along the curve shape that’s just above that front “grill”. It’s not a v, I would say the shape I’m trying to describe (imagine from a top view perspective) is that of a U with a more tapered and to a point - curve. I hope that made sense. Due to that curve and from the camera’s perspective, that’s why you see the slightly curved outer line behind the nose’s center line (which I didn’t draw on purpose - though I gave a slight indication of that center line with the discontinueation and disturbance of the reflection line. I hope this is what you were talking about because if not, I went off on a tangent for which I’d be sorry.
umutguncan: Thanks!:bounce:
HanDron: Thank you!
Glad you like them and I wish the best for you and your son. I would love to offer you some great pearls of wisdom but, I’m not sure any of these will be :
I started when I was very very young (drawing that is). The fine art talent is also from both sides of my family (that helps) but, I think that desire and a love to draw is right up there with creativity. Practice is extremely important. Usually, the more you draw, the better you become at it (as I guess, like in most things). One thing that is crutial is an eye for observation. When you see things, I try to remember them in a detailed 3 dimensional way. That’s also the way I draw - in a 3 dimensional thought kind of way. Seeing forms/shapes instead of flat lines. I guess that’s how most people draw so I don’t know if I am helping much.
Thanks for you comment and my best to you and your son.
WARRIOR-X: I would love to see any work you do on it. (I have to make a name for that concept, jetcar isn’t cutting it). vbmenu_register(“postmenu_1477370”, true);
