Very nice start! Looking forward to more.

Cheers!

It’s looking awesome. I think possibly the shoulders could use shifting down and outwards just a little more, and maybe the traps are creeping up a little high. It’s hard to say, but I took a look through the comic (still sat on my desk from when I was deciding what to do) and he does have just a little more of a neck I think.

Loving your entry though. Mignola is a dude.

nice start =]

Thanks a lot for the comments everyone! Glad you like it so far!

Before fixing the proportions and going to detailing I´ve just finished the final basemesh for the model (I´ll build his powerfull right hand after! I´ll just leave it this way by now…).

After a fast reconstruction I was able to build the rest very easily inside of xsi.

So here it goes!

Cool entry…
U can scale hands to match the size of his face, and give the fingers some volume, they are a little bit chunky. I guess it would be cool to give him some red material as well…
hope this sounds constructive, just my thoughts… …
Cheers,

Thanks a lot guys! Glad you like it!

So here´s a small update to show my approach for most of the pieces.
By using an simple basemesh I can get to the form really fast, so I can reconstruct afterwards.

In this case I´ll only need to reconstruct his jacket as you can see.

Best of luck everyone!

#15

Ah so fast man !

Looking good, keep it up !

#16

lovely work fabio, very true to Mignola’s style

#17

Great work man! looking really good:thumbsup:

#18

Fast and looking good… nice clothing… as for the critique: you can put the pants bit higher, or scale it, I think it will look cooler that way. And for the mid part, I think that the obliques is a bit low considering the hip bone, and volume from the obliques muscle should decrease considerably below inguinal ligament, you can check some classic sculptures for this…
I hope you will consider this as a constructive critique… and I hope you will be printing this one at the end of the challenge. cause it looks cool.
Are you planning to give him some action pose or leave the pose as it is?

#19

Hi guys!
Thanks a lot for the comments and constructive critique. It´s really important and it means a lot! Thanks!

So here´s another update. Lot´s to do yet. But now in the pose I can start adding everything else that it needs. Hope you like it.
