Maya models to convert help!


hi to all

im learning to build models in maya to put in a flight sim that i use, the problem is thier is program called “lod editor” u able to load the 3dmodel u want and tweak it so it fit to the sim

the problem is its only read from “3ds”!!!
and since i lerning to build models in maya how do i solve this problem?

i heard thier is no convert from maya 3dmodels to 3ds (max), true?

how i solve this problem??


Export to Max in FBX format (filmbox format, installer from Kaydara Motion Builder site) and then save as .3ds. Or if you don’t have Max try converting in Deep Exploration (by Right Hemisphere) or try Polytrans (Okino). Maya is much better to model in than Max.
