Maya Gamma Correction

#1

Hi there,

I was wondering how I could get the same result from Maya’s rendered view WITH gamma correction when I save it to a file. For instance, when trying to render a chef, I get two results. This one is maya’s render window, which is the result I want: http://imgur.com/fraXrmx and this one is the rendered file: http://imgur.com/BU5kapr . How do I get the same result from the first image when I render to a file?

I am using Mental Ray and Maya 2016, the gamma correction is sRGB.

Thanks,
Neal.

When you are saving the image in the renderview, you can choose the option to save a colormanaged version.

Also in the render-settings you can apply the output transform to the rendered images, this will also apply to batch renders.

Apologies for the huge images :stuck_out_tongue:
