maya blendShape problem

hello ,
i have a problem with blendShape in maya 2012 ,
i duplicate the base mesh wich is skinned , and then without doing any modefication to it , i create a blendShape . when i move the slider to 1 , i get some weird deformation on the mouth ( some vertices move on the mouth ) !
please help me , thanks.

sounds like the skinned mesh has changed since before it was skinned. (bad wording, apologies)

Try turning the skin envelope and any other deformers on the mesh off before you duplicate it and you shouldn’t have a problem.
