I’m having problem with the skin weights in maya, currently I work as a freelance rigger, the problem is whenever I forward the maya file (.ascii) to my team lead there would be some skinweights appearing in some parts of the body. For example, a weight would appear on the hips whenever the arm would move. However, everything works perfectly fine before I would forward the file. I locked the skinweights, I even checked the component editor.
Has anybody encountered this problem as well? I want to hear how you guys solved this issue.
