I don’t know if this has been posted or not and I’m not going to read the 28 page thread to find out, so here goes.
When making a zDepth render layer, the min/max of the setrange isn’t linked to the near/far clip planes, the connections have to be broken and entered manually.
In Maya, go to Help->Report a Problem… to log a bug with Autodesk

Possible bug: Under certain conditions “Retain Component Spacing” seems to be ‘On’ even when the option is deselected under the move tool options. I’m not able to flatten a group of vertices against the X/Y/Z plane using grid snapping. Though vertices will snap to a single point if vertex snapping is used, so ‘Retain Component Spacing’ is not entirely broken. Has anyone else experienced this behavior?
That works! Though I’m certain that pre-2011 you could snap in both ‘World’ and ‘Object’ modes. Thanks for your help guys 
im sorry if this has been mentioned before but is there a save bug that i should know about? Im having some issues with maya freezing upon save. is there a workaround?
Often FCheck won’t work when Maya is running. Has anybody else been getting this?

Anyone else find that the Hotbox isn’t switching between window panes when using it in the centre of a window? It seems to work fine on the edges.
anyone downloaded the subscription advantage pack? I installed it and it crashes like that’s its job. I switched to 2011 to get 64 bit (OSX) but man has it been hell so far with so many bugs. SP3 is at least usable.
The numeric inputs in the color swatch you NEED to use a comma as decimal mark while you for example in the channel box NEED to use a dot. actually I can’t think of any other place in maya where you can’t use a dot. pleeease can we have a little consistency?

maya crashes with bluescreen randomly… its sometimes enough to klick on a shelfbutton. can’t use it at all… sometimes it works until i try to update a texture… bang, copy a renderlayer - bang, grapheditor moving keys - bang…

the workstation was already doublechecked by the vendors service. they didn’t find anything wrong on the hardware.
maya 2010 works like a charm. other software does as well.
driver of what?
gpu? the latest 260.99 but I tried older as well… it did the same with a 196? (default win 7 install driver)
all drivers are provided from the mobo manufacturer asus. its a rampage III mobo. the only updated driver is the gpu.
i didn’t have those probs with Hotfix 3…
EDIT: I uninstalled sp1 and installed hotfix 3 again… now hotfix 3 sucks the same way
