Outliner, Hypershade, etc won’t show up in expose and they follow you when you use the “show all spaces” command. This is so frustrating because I have been using those features constantly for two years now. Uggh.

Also when I hit space bar with the cursor over the viewport to switch from 4 viewports to 1 there is a several second lag.

ya, the marking menu drag lag is what causes that. That’s why I just bound the z key to “panePop;” - so much faster.

this would be the most terrible bug ever…

I have been developing plug-ins (MPxNode and MPxDeformerNode), whenever I change something in the code most of the time I can’t see the changes when I reload the plug-in, for instance creating an attribute. I am not able to see the attribute I just recently added.

I need to restart Maya and load the plug-in to see the changes. I did not have such problem on 2009. I hope it’s related to my system somehow. otherwise it is nasty! I wasted couple of days to figure out why the code does not work properly.

does anyone have similar issues?

are you sure ? or have you simply forgotten to create a new scene before unloading/reloading your plugins ?

( maya cannot “uninitialize” plugins ( propper deregistration/unloading ) , which are still in use - or if there are still any of these nodes in the active scene … so the plugins get not properly unloaded ( force ) , and therefore , once reloaded - there is still the same (old version ) of the plugin active )

i just wrote 2 plugins , some days ago in maya2011 - and while working on them , added more attributes to them - and reloaded them all the time , while creating them . and did not have this problem .

i remember i had the same problem ( restarting maya all the time ) 2 yrs ago , until i found out - either to create a new empty scene , before unloading/reloading the pluging , or

delete ‘ls -type “myCustomNode”’;

these nodes, before in unload/reload
but maybe i misunderstood you - and you meant something else . ( winxp64 / maya2011 hotfix1 )

yes I am, I must unload the plug to recompile it anyway otherwise it can not be overwritten (win). in order to unload the plug I do force new scene anyway not to deal with several issues like unload plug-in/force. since this could be annoying to do over and over again I have written a script to do that.

so, do not know what is the problem, 2009 is fine. I will try it on linux too.

ah , ok … anyway the tiny plugins ( really basic ones ) i did are not in C++ , and just simple python-ones … so maybe it is different with *.mll-plugins or with more complex-code .

I have created an array attribute which uses MFnNumaricData::k2Int. Whenever I add a child it works fine. it goes from 0 to 1, 2, 3, etc.

However when I load the saved scene I see that first element in the array which is 0 has gone. It starts 1!

Does anyone have any idea about that issue?

The hotkeys keep resetting themselves, sometimes in the middle of a session.
mainly the C key, so I assume it has something to do with the snap options or something.
It’s like it is reading hotkeys from the userhotkey.pref and also the default hotkey file as the user set ones don’t stop working.
This version of maya seems way too buggy!!!

this is another a-must-have tool.
but doesnt working.
because of maya2011’s shelfLayout only allows 1 row visible problem.
this tool comes totally useless too.

I too have a renderer to integrate, but before the bug I’m finding the renderer doc slightly elusive.

I haven’t used mr for 3 years+, give it a break :smiley: (e: for us small MEL scripters)

Hilited text in the SE doesn’t re-execute with keypad/enter when the SE/Input Pane is made the active panel (RMB in it).
The fix is to dbl click RMB…

Has the fix been rolled out yet? I just got 2011 @ work & this bug is making weighting very difficult.

Also, I notice in 2011 that any time I change my selection of verts etc., the component editor scrolls all the way back to the beginning on the joints list. Very frustrating as I lose my place in a list of around 160 joints & have to re-find it EVERY single time I change a selection…
