May 2015 - Izidro, Felipe

Nice twist! First one in to extend to the left instead of the right. Excited to see how this develops.

#3

Hi Dave. Thanks for the comments : )
Lets hope it will be a nice one…heheh

Here is my first WIP

#4

That’s a good start. The plate has an interesting light/shadow play. Make use of that by placing elements in certain areas which draw attention…

#5

Nice idea the hole on the left, but in the second wip is vanished… :curious:

#6

Thanks for the comments and tips milanschere. I will pay attention to this elements.

StudioASC, I am working on that hole now, actually…hehehe…that was just a rough “thumbnail” sketch. I shall place another WIP soon : )

#7

Hi guys,

Here is another WIP…now with the hole on its way : P

#8

Your matte painting grows well, too well eheheh

#9

Nice progress. I would put something blocking the interior, you wouldn’t be able to look through a building like that. I would lose the cars and trains or get better sources. I like the idea with the interior showing. Cool

#10

Thanks for the comments guys!
I took them on-board : )

Here follows another WIP

Ps. Never too well StudioASC :stuck_out_tongue:

#11

Here come WIP 05.
I think I’m almost there…

#12

Hi izidro!

I really like the destruction of things… Interesting composition

regards

#13

Hey Felipe, I like how this has progressed so far, the hole in the left FG building is quite unique, it’s a nice creative twist on the obvious plate extention.

You have handled the destruction well, the fallen piece of the pillar top with the text on it is a nice touch, I look forward to seeing the final version.

#14

Thank you very much guys!
Im really excited too see the results for the challenge.
I really enjoyed this one! Great fun :keenly:

#15

I think thats about it…
That’s kind of my final version…I guess

#16

we are waiting for your next update, Felipe. We liked that hole of destruction!
By the way…right now we are trying to upload our WIP…but server dosen’t work!! are u experienced same problem?

#17

Hello StudioASC,

I had no problem uploading my picture.

It’s got to be a tiny pic and instead of using the “insert image” button, here on top, use the “manage attachment” button, in the “Additional Options” box bellow the message box.

For bigger files, try photobucket.com, imagshack.com or imgur.com or other free hosting options. Your final version has to be hosted outside the forum and you only post the link.

I hope you manage to post you image : )

#18

Here we go.
This is the link for my final version:

http://s723.photobucket.com/user/Felipe_Izidro/media/original_age-destruction_zpsvewgsl45.jpg.html

I hope you guys enjoy it : )

Still a couple of days to go, so any comments are welcome

#19

Getting nice! Really like that electricity pole there.

Suggestions:
-The bus has a kinda weird warps in it (might be intentional)
-The tower on the right has no clear intention; is it destroyed?
-Check the blurs on the FG
-I would reverse the pillar on the left side, so that is has a base instead of top. This wouldn’t hold its weight, as its not glued at the top I think.
-Perhaps some a slight detail(silhouttes maybe) in the white/blue hole on the left side.
-There are still people in the shot, clear them out

edit: I just realized you’re using some of the same destruction plates as I do.

Cheers!

Hi Cedric,

Thanks for your comments, especially for the peps still there!

Have to fix that one urgent! :stuck_out_tongue:

I understand your point on the pillar on the left, but those pillars are not REAL pillars, they are more like the facade of the building, so I don’t think it would be too bad for them to be missing the bottom bit

Lets hope for the best :keenly:

I love how you have the foreground building opened up and you can see the inside, that was a really neat idea, nice job, that looks really cool.

The lense flare on the right side might be a little bright for the composition. But over all it looks really nice. Good job
