maxwell render materials purge

#1

hey all,

have a quick question for you guys. i’ve been using maxwell render for rhino 3 and now 4 for a while now for my architecture firm, but haven’t encountered this problem before, which is this: i had assigned a frosted glass material to one of my rhino layers. i want to change it to another material but can’t seem to get rid of the original material association! i have deleted all the materials in the “scene materials” associated with the file, i have tried reassociating the layer with another material. i have duplicated the objects in the problem layer and placed it into a new fresh layer, but each time, when i hit render, the frosted glass material shows up! has anyone else encountered this problem before- is there any way of purging all maxwell materials associations to the rhino layers and start anew?

any insight at all would be greatly appreciated!

so i solved my own problem after a night of maxwell wrangling. i discovered that for whatever reason, may be a glitch, just assigning a new material to a layer didn’t work, i was finally able to change the material by right clicking on the layer, selecting all the objects in the layer, and then dragging and dropping the new material onto those objects, did the material association finally change. anyway, thanks for listening!

best,

justin
