Ah, one more question (i could try myself, but I’m a bit busy today), are cgfx shaders with passes supported in the viewport ? ie for shadows, DOF and lens distortions ?

I am downloading the demo now …is there any documentation that comes with it to explain what the new features do.

I just purchased 10.5 last month, and I heard a rumor that if you bought 10.5 in July or later, you can get v11 for free. Could a MAXON rep confirm/deny this for me? Thanks!

Another thing to point out is that from R11 on ther eis no differenciation between plattforms anymore. If you have a R11 license you can use it on Windows or OS X, just as you like it.
Customers with a service contract have the additonal option of using a second installation on a mobile system.

This might depend on your specific situation. Best is to get in touch with the dealer / country distributor you bought it from.

Please check with your local MAXON office, the common grace period is one month prior to announcement of a new version. There are very few exceptions from this, but only your nearest MAXON office can give you a definite answer to the question.
