Got a simple rig I need help with. I have never worked character rigging before so this is all pretty new to me, I have been watching some youtube tutorials but I still haven’t been able to crack this one thing.
I have a simple yoke to figure out, I would like to be able to have the yoke follow a controller without it breaking into pieces. The yoke consists of three parts. The base, the arms, and the head.
They are all linked together so that the base is the Parent. The arms and the head have the appropriate Link Locks. The yoke can only rotate in the Y axis, while the head can only rotate in the X axis.
What is the best way to rig this so that the head and the yoke move together to follow a controller? or another object even.
Does that make sense? Attached is a screenshot of my yoke fixture.
I have changed the color of the wireframe so each element is easily identifiable.
Pink = Base
Green = Yoke
Red = Head
