max 5

I was wondering if there is a mesh tolls plugin for max 5, anywhere like the one used in max 4.

I really liked modeling with that pluggin got used to it
but im likking max 5 so much now…there has got to be some kinda plugin thats like it out there somewhere…

most of those tools already are in max 5…edge loop and poly loop…ring select…i i think it has em all, so i think thats why there is no version of meshtools for max 5:beer:

There are still a couple of tools missing from max 5 that are in meshtools. You can just install the current meshtools into max 5 and as far as I’ve seen they still work fine.

i heard about one of the propierties of Max 5, is taht you could use your plugins and scripts of Max 4 in Max 5. :smiley:

Yeah, one feature that’s missing in MAX5 that can be found in meshtools is the ability to divide an edge with vertices quickly.
Too bad they didn’t include that one also.

Meshtools 3.0 is bundled along with max 5.0 inside second cd. Just install it. It is in some directory about scripts.

on the second cd, which folder is it found in?..

all the folders in the scripts folders mention nothing about mesh tools

I’d recommend using older version (2.5) though since you’d need it to run cspoly tools.

Yep Dvornik is right, run 2.5, that way you can use cspolytools also.:thumbsup:
