Matte-Paintings

I’m newbie in matte-painting,I’m trying to study some new techniques and improving them.These are two images that i made just for fun.

One does not learn matte painting by just manipulating photos. You must learn to actually paint, and to have a strong foundation as a painter. If you don’t have a mastery of the essential foundations of visual art, you’ll never be able to do anything beyond just messing around with photos. A matte painter should be able to paint realistic scenes without having to cut and paste photos or rely on photos as if it’s a crutch. If you’re serious about being a matter painter, then you need to train yourself so that if I took away all of your photos, you can still paint great images. That is the real acid test of a good artist.

Thanks for the comment Lunatique,it’s very useful.I’m traying to do something with 3ds Max and with Maya but I wanna to learn digital painting too.My “carrer” as an artist is just began I have many things to learn. :slight_smile:
