I’m trying to find out how I can get my object from ZBrush to Maya via GoZ with material information included. I realise the shaders are renderer-dependent, but I just want to get the material IDs across. I’ve tried painting different materials to a sphere and then sending to maya, but only one material is showing in hypershade. I’ve tried this using polypaint to paint on new materials, I’ve also tried assigning them by painting them on through Projection Master, but the result is always the same: just one material in maya.
Is this possible, or will I have to manually create the material regions from scratch in Maya, or is there some options I’m missing somewhere?
