Matching 16 mm grain

#1

Greetings,
I am going to be shooting a 16mm short movie in a month or two.
Right now we are on stage of planning the stuff out. We ran into a problem of matching the CG with 16mm film grain. How would you do it?
We will use a couple of film stocks. One of them would be for sure – Kodak64 b\w.
The other one would be colour. I am not sure about the ISO though.
So, would anyone point me out in the right direction?
Thanks in advance!

Prim, what are you using to do your compositing? Usually I match film grain in Shake, it comes with grain simulators which you can tweak or make your own.

I use After Effects.
Does it have this option?

You can try:
Effect > Noise & Grain > Match Grain

Both the source and the CG plates need to be in the same composition. There are also a variety of plug-ins for AE that simulate grain.
