Master and Servant 3D Entry: Samuel Burton

#8

Hi there, sburto20,
Really impressive concept:thumbsup:
Actually, I like that first one more. Yuo have cool graphic (indeed) but unfortunately I can’t catch the story. Now it more looks like to just chracter design. I suggest that you pay more attention to narrative idea of your composition. It could be really great if combined with some sort of subject!
Keep on with your creations, good luck!

Just wanted to pop in and say great art man. Love the sketching especially the feel of the first one. I am envious of your talent. Take a look at my entry to see what I mean lol…

The concept is looking nice!
I’m waiting the modeling
good luck…

#11

hey dude … great concepts for one… although just want to make a note of your last concept… it looks very much like an abomination from the warcraft game series… although it still is very very kewl!!

#12

Alright, I’ve gotten pretty far on the first character. I’ve put two and a half days into him and thats as far as I can go without passing out(I did take about a five hour nap).Tommorow will be a good day to try out a zbrush pass on the torso. Please send me feedback.

#13

I started a few rendering test to make sure everything was in correct order wth the model. No textures yet, just some shiny shaders so I could get a good look at the geometry(and I get really tired of looking at grey all day).

#14

what to say; great model, great modeling skills, but i think you need really good story behind so simple concept. You have “master and servant” - as that, … hope u understand me …

#15

oh my dear god…That is insane man! god damn.

How in the world dont you have more replies?!

Fantastic work man! the concept is a tad cliche but the execution so far is superb!

#16

I started some zbrush test today.I just played around with adding some detail in the face and the torso, didn’t have much time to mess with it today. Maybe when I get home from work I’ll give it another shot and see what I come up with.

#17

Started some texturing on the arm some to take a break from modeling. Just a print screen from within maya,no renders yet.

#18

You’re coming along great. Can’t wait to see for finished stuff.

#19

Hail!!!
The models and the sketches are all OK!!! But we can see only the results, where are the evaluations?

#20

that arm is looking amazing!

#21

Love that arm, keep it comming!

#22

hey there man… great progress dude… i must admit that arm model is very very nice… great start… lets see more !!

#23

Awesome, I love what your doing here.

What will be interesting is to see how it deforms, looking forward to more updates.

#24

oh very nice detail model and great texture too!! keep working, goodluck

Alright, I know I’ve changed my idea alot and I know its a little late in
the competition to do so but I thought I needed a concept with a little
more story behind it.Since I truly believe story is the most important
thing I came up with the “Huntress”.Only she uses these little gremlins
to hunt her prey before she kills it.I guess I’ll just use the other models
for my reel.I hope to have some modeling pics up by tonight!

#26

Well I was able to get a good bit of modeling done on the Huntress today. The base mesh was done in Maya with some touching up in zbrush. After I did a good bit of brushing I realized there were vertices that had not been merged in the base mesh so I guess I’ll just remodel her .I learned alot while modeling though so not all is lost.

Wow!
Great new modeling/concept!
looking forward…
