Master and Servant 3D Entry: Michael Madic'

#681

Hey, Black, did anyone tell you, that cgtalk wouldn’t be the same without you?
It’s soooo nice, that someone has enough time to say, what he has to say
Always glad to see (better say"read") you

Yeah, he was funny  Nope, he normaly scared when he saw me (I was a gruftie some time ago) and always went out of my way. I just couldn’t explain him that it was me under that make up.
I didn’t see him for 5 years now (he lives in Chicago since 2000), but I have to show him this picture when I meet him again… you just can’t imagine how similar he was ahahahaha

#682

Things started moving,Great to see ya back.
I got one question. Can u tell me,hope u havent been asked this more times,
How did u achieved eyes on your character. Is that real caustics,if so how much does it render.
I really need to find the wright way of doing beleavable eye before i learn wrong one.
THx in advance michael.

#683

Whoa michael. What an amazing piece of work. Now thats a character with personality.Just top notch, and as good as it gets anywhere bar none.Cant wait to see it all together…Man now with all the rest you can do you got the organics working in top form. What a stylistic character he and brute are,They are a perfect match.Amazing job buddy.:buttrock:

#684

Atra…I hope he like’s the picture…thanks again…

A I R… Just reflections, caustics have nothing to do with it…Just got to catch the lighting, and play with reflections…No major time thing…turn up those reflections…self illumination in the color part oif the eye…catch the light in the right angles…seperate lights for the eyes alone work too…Sometimes it’s a good idea to turn down or off the diffuse, sometimes I add an extra light for the eyes alone for just specular lighting,to give some specular highlights…These are just actually very basic, the final will have the finished touch…Thanks for coming by Air…

Johnlittle…Hey thanks guru…Means alot coming from you,you know that…:arteest:

#685

THX virtuoso, didnt played with eyes stuff still,so I figure I ask somebody,U spared me few hours or more,of wondering arround diferent options.THX.

#686

Wow  Just exceptional face features.Man you play on another level, style and imagination. What an awesome look.Bring more soon.

#687

#688

Wow! those are very nice rudes!

This one is going to be a killer
Good luck man

#689

Rowdy eh?!! I KNEW it!
I had sort of guessed that it wasn’t the story… when I look back and think of it it was a bad joke… but I just had to write that

Michael I really like the care you put into your models. And I would love to see what the same care to the texturing takes them to.
So how does your “pipeline” work out? Max for base mesh… then Zbrush for sculpting and texturing than back to Max for rendering/materials and rigging? Or do you work interchangably?
(If it is a lab secret I would understand… you don’t HAVE to reveal it)

Anyhow… all said: will be really looking forward to the updates

Atra; I would never have imagined that some one would compliment me in Michaels thread other than Michael himself
There are so many such as I … Virtuoso, You, and most Everyone in this page being just a few of them

#690

Hey Michael,
That is another great model you got there:thumbsup:  , when your textures get placed he is going to look great. The face has lots of character, keep going .

#691

Air …Glad I could help some…I know what a few hours saved can mean, and with us cutting it close as it is,even more so

lamarvisions … thanks for the kind comments.I’ll bring up as much as possible…Just keep texturing the rudes and brute, and slip in a few more updates of alot of the work I have already completed as I continue to texture…So stay tuned…and thanks very much…:arteest:

smaddl… I am happy you like these wild Rudes…they appreaciate it too… …they told me to give you one of these… …Stay tuned for the bodies, textures, and extras, along with a full on attack of Fur…:arteest:

nemirc… thanks as well…I got a lot to do,but i’ll get there, bring this to where I have dreamed it up,and want to get it too…Thanks for stopping by…and giving me that nice power boost of enregy,I am grateful…:arteest:

BlackDidThis… I know you did…I thought it was funny actually… …Workflow is max to Zbrush…back to max for textures and rendering with vray…I am now getting deeper into Zbrush and playing with direct to model painting of textures…Doing fur and hair with ShagFX…I am also going to start creating with Zbrush as a start point…Start with Z-spheres and then go into Max…Lots of options,But Zbrush is quite new for me,but growing in importance as my comfort grows with it…I also work with Maya…But this time around it’s all Max and some Zbrush…:arteest: … Thanks very much for you’re great support and interest Black,Means alot to me…

mmoir… Thanks Mike…yes textures are mixed and ready to go…lots to do…Should get there with a few minutes to spare…
