Master and Servant 3D Entry: Michael Kirschner

#7

you have some good progress so far, the models are looking good.

I would update a more detailed concept image though and include a very specific description of the master and servant and their relationship because it is a little unclear.

I would also work on the tornado some more because it just doesn’t look quite right, you should try to make it look like its spinning faster and add some more dust and debri in it.

good luck with the contest:thumbsup:

The tornado does not look that good, must rework shader. The nanite, I like though, less reflective maybe?

#10

Instancer added, along with priest untextured

And I am very sorry for that double post. (hitting the back button is a bad idea)

#11

holyjewsus, I think its a bit too reflexive the machines, what about a render of the machine alone?
I think you could also post a more elaborated concept, or meybe a short description

Good luck on the challenge mate!

After much debate and consideration with myself, I have decided to post another concept drawing of an entirely different concept. I am not sure if this is allowed by the rules so if it is not, please anyone alert me. I will be starting new models and updating all over. I will no longer update the past concept. Good luck me.

The concept will be:

A wizard who captures a fairy in a glass jar, the master becomes obbsessed by the fairy and he eventually becomes a slave to his own desires and the fairy becomes the master of his obsession.

#13

I really like the concept, the drawing needs work, probably starting over.

#14

First attempt at the fairy, I think her breasts are too large hmm… will model the rest later.

#15

Maybe he won’t have the glasses, I think they take away from his character instead of adding to it. Plus I want the glass to refract his eyes and face heavily.

#16

hey there… this is loking quiet kewl i mean you got your compisition coming along, your modeling, your textures… but i’ll be honest your tonrnado doesnt look to good to suit your scene so far it just doesnt fit in right somehow.
your character though is quiet a good model so far … good luck and hope to see more

#17

Progress… hmm… I think.

#18

Progress, I like it, legs might need a bit cleaning up…

#19

Just a quick render to see it smoothed

#20

A quick test of using control curves with painteffects hair.

#21

The new head, the last one, was… just bad, this is an improvment modeling wise at least.

#22

The concept is great. I like it more than that the first idea with the tornado. Fairy hair looks nice also the face but I think you should work a bit on a body proportions. I’d like to see it with more details. Good luck

My Master & Servant challenge

#23

WeeeHA. Not that bad I thinks.

#24

Diaelectric glass, trying to work out the kinks, can anyone offer advice with mental ray and glass?

#25

Finally got rendering settings for glass looking pretty decent, and I got hair to render through refractions as paintfx converted and tweaked with, and a custom shader for the hair.

#26

Turned up the energy and added more lights, the hair I like alot, glass looks decent. Modeling of Wizard started.
