well i think this is a winner, i had and idea with the same subject (smoking)and i dropped it
for something else luckily cause it wouldnt be better that this one. i really like the design of the character and the work u put in is very noticable

Climax: Backround will be kept in almost darkness. Maybe some highlight on the backround? You should be right. A don’t know yet.
Virtuoso: Orange glow should be fine, but for first i have to create the cigarette character, maybe some tests after that. Thanks for your comment! Always!

icedeyes: I really like to use DOF but at this time it was too strenght. Background is too blurry but it’s good right now, coz there are only primitives in model.

omer-n: You know…winner idea. it’s interesting. I have a print of my machineflesh entry right in front of my desk. When i look at it am always smiling. I see tons of mistakes on it. This feeling is strange. After few years i will also laughing when i look at this entry (master-servant). This is what i call winning. Win over myself and learn to do it better and better. So I have to say these CGTalk challenges are the best to learn how can you learn from the others and from those greatnesses you know.

Beutiful character,texturing, lighting! Very unique.I agree with your idea to show a little more enviromen and not to be a closed frame as you have design it in the begining.I will give and “advice” for the rest of the composition.Since your main character’s part is very strong inside the scene,follow the rule of simplicity for the rest of the scene.This way the eyes can focus on the main character.To many details in the background can take away from the model’s dynamic,in my opinion.

S.DIMIS: Yes, you’re right. Your advice is correct. Only thing from my side: in my experience I know that all the pixels are important. Our brain is very intelligent our eyes are not. Sometimes you can see any important on an images backround but your brain gets information from that. Little things, just patches or colors, but your brain can understand those coz of the cognitive functions of it. So I don’t want to show an overcrowded backround (just as your advice) but I will try to make the needful details. Perhaps on the final those will be just “coloured pixels” but somehow deep inside the viewer’s mind can analyze them and get useful information about Odon and his feelings at the moment. suk-grigorij: Thanks! So it’s important to avoid a propaganda image. I have some quite bad experiences with illness, smoking et cetera…one of my ears is deaf and i had four serious operations with that…i know what is pain and to be depressed by health problems. So I try to do not disturbing people with a propaganda. Maybe they can think about the situation…if they will that’s enough. Things starting with small thoughts. Welcome on my thread.

I’m gone for three days and BAM… love his expression on the new update…although the scenes seems a bit dark at the moment…maybe crank up the indirect illumination a bit…we wanna see the PU Girl in the final with nice details :D… The DOF adds a nice touch makes it look wacky and real at the same time ![]()
