Latest Update: Concept Sketch: You Called (Working Title) Concept

‘You Called’ (Working Title) - Concept Stage
My concept for the Master and Slave challenge is based around the Masters’ power to summon at will, with the Slaves’ response being immediate - regardless of the difficulties in doing so.
Two characters are being used in this project. The smaller one will be humanoid with the larger one being an elemental ‘fluid’ style figure.
The small figure has had to travel across a cold, harsh, environment that may considered hostile. The large figure has had an equally arduous journey, upwards through freezing cold water culminating in breaking through a thick layer of snow covered ice.
Two notional lines are created by this ‘movement’ each converging in the scene ‘You Called’.
The scene, as already mentioned, may be considered hostile, so harsh that the background waterfall has frozen.
The scene is likely to be set at night, adding a further sense of difficulty to being ‘called’. Nothing is, or can be, too much trouble for a slave.
The point where the ‘elemental’ figure has emerged from to show the difficulties in being at that point. Some ‘flying’ blocks of ice and visible ‘water’ should help achieve that.
The distant peaks are included to provide depth. To provide further depth and scale to the image, I hope to have time (and skill!) to make some snow covered trees.
Which of the two doing the calling is, for now, left open for viewers to decide. I will return to this aspect at a later point.
Cinema 4D 8.5 will be the primary tool for modelling, supplemented by RealFlow3 and XFrog Lite. The render engine is to be decided.
Finally good luck to all other contest entrants.
