Hope everyones entries are going well…
Tell me … would you like to see this as a tribal savhanna type image?. or a darker more bloody battle, aka LOTR/flames etc…

My original picture was in a pascal blanch type final environment.

Thanks guys  .

Like the 3d thumbnail. Should be some interesting work.

#105

heya stripe, awesome work there, gonna keep an eye on this thread

man, I remember helping you pick out work for your portfolio, knew you had gotten a job sometime later but wow… crytek… good on you mate!

those advanced zbrush tuts you just talked about, will those be for palace again? that’d be great

#106

The detailing on that beast is impeccable. I don’t know if anyone mentioned this but the legs look highly immoble. I think there needs to be more definition around the knee-joint areas, and overall the legs should show more musculature imho.

Hope to see more soon

#108

Can’t say more about what u’ve done so far man, really nice work you have there

#109

Hey Joey,

As promised before in msn, here i am with a little check-up.
mhmmmm about the metioned ā€œbyteā€, sweety here looks very very cute at the moment, big nice eyes, soft curved shapes. i like it, a lot. but if you want it to look like a beast, bigger and more agressive, i have 2-3 small suggestions:

eyes, i’d add more angerwrinkles, between the eyes, work bumpier. (inflat some wrinkles to get it more agressive.

eyes are reference for scale. Bigger things have smaller eyes referign to their bodysize.
at the moment, i’d give your pet to be a baby, like 1.20 m shouldeheight.

masculine and feminine human attributes are strongly diferent in the appearance, basically on the definition level of their muscles. your pet looks female. soft n sweet.
I suggest to make it more male, bring in some more muscledefinitions. make the horns more worn (male pets fight), carved, in general, the alloverapearance harder.

Hope you can make some points out of this
Keep it up mate, looking forward to your next update!

What is it with you people n zbrush!! Great job! Altho I have not gotten my hands on zbrush yet… felt like missing alot

#111

Another beast…I like this one. :).
Going to detail this one up now.

#112

Your not really ā€˜missing’ anything, It’s just a tool. a fun tool.

#113

Very fine work Joey. This beast will be great when detailed !

#114

Really well done Joey…Thats one tough head and body…Like the underbite…the snout and the eye shape,Really well defined…I liked the first version…But this one is still better…more aggressive and has more character…

You crytek guys (Strike) and you are sure loving these beasts and doing a great job…This will be great to see progress…and then fitted into that concept of yours…Really well done…See you soon and keep it coming strong…

#115

This certain dude we know spends lots of time in the surf told me to check your entry Stripe.
You got yourself one real sweet model in the making here. You got plans for armor and extras.
I’ll be checking back later.Good stuff you got here.

#116

Really great beast!

Maybe you should put the eyes a bit closer to each other, to make it look abit more angry. I don’t know… just a thought =)

It looks really cool! =)

#117

Stripe! Great to see your work again (and that you have some free time to work on it too) - Best of luck with your entry - its top quality work mate and I am really looking forward to seeing it completed!

Hi Joey, the beast looks promising. the only sugestion, since this is still early, are his frontleggs, they seem not working for me yet.
Keep it up mate, great new attemp! looking forward to what you make of him

#119

Hey man,

good job on the beast so far… though it looks a little too small (childish) in my eyes… maybe it’s the pink color, but it could also be the compact form of the beast, legs are too close to each other and the head could use some more space too i think.

good luck man!

love the new beast, as said he dosen’t look angry.but i’m not sure if that’s what you want.
