Started texturing the hawk head…
Master and Servant 3D Entry: Gregory Werner
It just keeps coming…My only suggestion for now greg would be to give a bit more “height” in the fingers…As they are now give them more in the “Y”…other than that things keep rolling well for you…There was a game out last year called Sphnyx…There were character within it that reminds me a bit of yours here…Keep it coming,a whole World of creations are within this thread…well done, real nice effort.:arteest:
Ok setup the hawk rig bones…will skin him any moment now…made fingers a bit thicker to give them more substance
Virtuoso: Thanks for the tip Michael. I wanted to make the fingers look like feathers at first…but after adding some thickness to them they looked a lot better…Hopefully he’ll be standing on his own two feet tonight
Gotta remind myself not to pick feathered characters next time :P…Was rather tough to get the feathers the way I wanted…I’ll probably add another iteration in the cloths smoothing at the end…still need to paint in shadows to the cloth
Ok I was able to succesfully merge the max scenes into one. Just got over the 4,5 million poly limit (before meshsmooth iterations)…hope my computer will be able to handle the final details still to come…
One more character to go then some architectural remakes and lighting…oh yeah & details (need to do some remodeling of the horse warrior and servant)
You are doing a great work here, and wow how many figure and modelling that you have here. Everithing look interesting, but the actual light that you have in the scene don’t brings up the wonderful work that you made. The image looks too flat and without soul… probably is only a test, but take care to the lighting of your work, this can drastically change the final result
congrats !
:wip:
jdd
jddog: Yeah the lighting sucks now
I want to get everything in place…then I’ll model some stand-ins for the cast and do some lighting test on them…right now I’m getting 17 minut render times a bit long for comfortable tests.
Thanks for dropping by
Ok moved the cam around, swithed some characters, worked slightly on lighting, still have a ton of stuff to do here.
To do list
- switch cats hands (one with lantern) it seems to covering the chain…don’t want that
- push wolfman back (closer one) and move mans shoulders to show more of him
- more lighting tweaks
- change the lantern cats expresion (damn looks like a muppet now)
Wow man u done lot of work here…is very nice to see you made all this models…the scene is nice…but i think that it needs more contrast…some more darker areas or some shadows comming from trees near the characters…ll be watching how this one developes…cya soon man
How dare you…post effects and compositing…
…leaving your poor buddie back here in modeling and beggining textures phase…
Looking real nice.lots done…my only comment at this point would be to add some space in-between the creations…try and get a bit more of a suitable angle to get all there strongpoints in focus best you can…that right angle for all your characters greg…it’s balance time of a scene for you…not far off actually…i wish I was there…Keep tilting and tweaking the scene greg…it’s close…:arteest:
it needs more contrast…some more darker areas or some shadows comming from trees near the characters
Rattlesnake: Got 30 days left to get this right…I’m thinking of making it a closed scene maybe change the courtyard into a chamber…might get some better shadows then. Thanks for the visit
Virtuoso: Believe me I’ve gone through at least 30 cam settings for this …still can’t get that perfect angle I’m looking for. Hope that once I build the final character (it’ll be a battered up minotaur character with a branding iron)
I’ll be able to put the right amount of space between them all…I’ll probably have to repose the human character…he’s making camera setup really hard now…to get the master and servants face in one shot it only works from a side angle…:argh:…might get him on his knees and try for a different angle then.
You’ve almost got the camera angle perfect, just a few more tweaks. Lighting is another one of my weak points, can’t give you any tips there, although a darker, cooler lighting would seem pleasant (lived in miami for 18 years and I hate sunlight:p :argh: ). Keep the updates coming.
