I don’t know, perhaps the concept and the image are too simple. I was envisaging a claustrophobic and ambiguous atmosphere. The guy is about to do his master’s (his desire’s) bidding, but we don’t know what that is . . . (but I think it may be something bad).
Oh, and I’m new and this is my first challenge, and I’m a bit hesitant about it all. So we’ll see how it goes.
I like the concept of visualizing desires and the problem of who is serving who, the desire or the human, it’s quite original I think!
Good luck!

Excellent start, I think it is a really good concept. Nothing is better than a good clean idea, you can always add more as you go.
nice man! I liked the idea, is different of the common one. Where always it has somebody overwhelmd to another one. Its concept demonstrates fellowship between they.
Thanks for the comments, everyone.
I’m now thinking perhaps the Creature of Desire is a bit too devilish, maybe too much of a cliche. Maybe make him more animal like?
Right! Now I go and model. I’ve never attempted anything as ambitious as this before, so the result should be, um, interesting. Don’t anyone go holding their breath waiting!
really cool idea… and sketches primisng a wonderful visualization of it ! good luck Gerry !

To be honest I like the first two sketches better, in the third the two seem to be in league. The man looks like a devil with a side kick not so much a man about to succumb to temptation. Although either suit the theme of master and slave although the two ideas come at it from different angles. I suppose that is what you meant? Bring on the models!
I know what you mean, Soapy, but I guess I thought they looked a bit dull, and I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to pull off the subtlety of expression needed. Having said that I’ve had an idea of another direction to take it, so it’s still in a state of flux.
It’s a struggle, either way, and I don’t know if my modelling skills (or lack of them ) are up to it!
AAAAAAGH! This is complete pants.
I’m going to start again.
I don’t know why I thought I’d try and model realistically, it’s just not me . . .
