Master and Servant 3D Entry: Donn Ha

Working on the shape of the cheney head in Sculpey:

( the image is below )*

Not being a sculptor it’s kind of difficult. Plus his glasses are such a large part of his face. So maybe imagine it with glasses. Notice I’m only showing the right half of his face! The other half is a big thumbprint!

Sculpey study to aid in modelling.

#12

cool sculpey head you got, hope you can do it in 3d to, good luck and

#13

Looking forward to seeing this one Doodlehead :bounce: :bounce: You do know though that the new amercan century have taken over the voting panel   They think Wakom is something nasty. Look what happened to those poor saps in the seige, missing just the one letter, bummer :hmm:

#14

New American Century! I’d never heard that one before. I’m just practicing my god given right to depict the vice president in leather bands and the president as a mutant moron. There’s nothing more American than that!

I’m not looking to win anyways, this is my first 3d project. I’m just hoping to not embarass myself too badly. Made a few adjustments to the head while I was working to alleviate the stress (I’m sort of a programmer and we’re facing some pretty bad deadlines right now):

( image appears below )

Put a doughnut on his face to simulate glasses, made his forehead bigger, adjusted his jowls…

#15

Hi again Doodlehead, great previs in the sculpey mate:thumbsup:
I still really dig your concept too, good luck with the next steps

#16

The new aamercan century is Cheney’s little think tank. Do a google search, these people are really scarey. They want to invade China

looking at your model, i wonder if it would be possible to rig up some sort of scanner. A strong light shining through a thin slit kind of thing.

The sculpey model after some reworking.

#18

Working on a Sculpey of the mutant elf’s head.

#19

A little more refinement. Trying to make Dubbleya both brutish and apeish…

#20

I think I’ve got a good enough understanding now of how the heads will look. On to thinking about the scene. I’m thinking I’ll move it from the desert to a boiler room, and little evil judges will be shovelling things (books, papers) into furnaces. So it’s going to be even more similar to Master/Blaster from Beyond Thunderdome. Beyond Thunderdome is at the top of my queue in Netflix. Prolly do some concept sketches over the weekend. Ta ta for now! Back to coding.

#21

Damn, this is a lot harder than it looks from the outside. Having trouble coaxing vertexes into place…

#22

Tweaking. Much more tweaking left to do. Need to figure out what to do about the eyebrows too…

#23

Added some more detail, adjusted proportions, switched renderers, etc. Will probably go with plastic hair instead of hairfx.

#24

Well, working in some more detail on the head, completed the back of the head and ears, and put placeholders in for the eyebrows and hair. Not sure what to do about hair yet. Maybe some kind of grooved plastic…

#25

More refinement and playing with HairFX. Not satisfied with the results but I’m sure it can be tweaked into shape. At least I’m hoping so!

#26

Starting my way down. Figured out how to get more acceptable results in rendering. Fun fun fun.

#27

Blocking out the torso…

#28

Have the body poly’ed down to the toes. Still have to block out the elbows to the fingertips and add muscle definition.

#29

Finished the bush model out to the fingertips. I’ve been both pressed for hobby time and confounded by this thing you call Three-Dee!
