I’ve just checked out your 2d work. They are awesome, which is why i’m in disbelief of your concept sketch.
She’s not a very strong design for a contest like this. Right now, those wrists and forearms look deformed, and not very alien like for sure. Her fingers could use a lot more touch ups as well. With what i’ve seen in your demo, you could most certainly do better, even for a fresh start like this.

the lower arms are definitely tweaky, but i know your gonna push/pull em into good form

You already got good hints how to improve this. I checked your site, the gallery really rocks and has some high quality work there!
Thanks for all the support and crits. I’m totally revamping the design and style and I promise a nice surprise soon. 
the design of this character will be clearer with textures, especially for the face. Been busy, but i’ll do my best to squeeze in some time to finish this challenge…
