Master and Servant 3D Entry: Diego Imbriani

#10

zoom on the head/hair.

mm… what do you think about my choice of colors? they’re too bright? too much color? too saturation?

I think I’ll reset all materials and colors and remake them all.

No, I think the colour scheme is just fine, now I’m viewing on a mac and the cables on the left of the figure look dark. On a pc they would look even darker. Maybe lift them a little with a light.

How’s about seeing the face in something reflective? It’s just that one of the design briefs is to show emotion.

I assume that the room itself is the master but there seems to be a bit of a theme going on in a lot of the entries, that is playing with the ambiguities of master and servant.

Anyway, my vote is to keep the bright colours. There’s a real sense of alienation here, not to say menace, and the colours do it.

interesting but i miss some emotion. the character is all covered and there is no way i can recognize who it is and what she/he feels. i’d like to see how you’ll develop this scene.
keep updating

#13

thanks very much for the replies, your tips are very useful. I’m going to texturize. I want to keep the colors set but I also want to give an impression of something real and dirty.

The idea of the face reflected is quite cool! Thanks, I’ll make some test.

And now… some new image :bounce:

Ok. You see I’ve cut the hair, and now there’s only the white body. What do I think about this? I FIND IT’S COOL! I’d like to keep that but I’m not sure if it would be valid. The rules of the challenge say that the Master or the Servant (or both) must be a human. Now, my character represents a human, will it be accepted as is?

#14

dehehehe this was a “bug” during the modeling

#15

some update…

#16

Nice concept and model mate…keep it up and good luck!!

ciao Alex.

#17

Interesting idea and I like the vibrant color for this. I think I preferred the human with hair though - but perhaps it will change. Keep going and good luck

#18

Here is my progress on the face:

#19

nice start Diego

What software do you use, doesn’t seem familiar

#20

Hi, thanks for your comment. I’m using Blender, I support Open Source :scream: :buttrock:

#21

This should be an hologram-monitor… it should also explain better who is sevant and who (or what  is the master…

#22

Interesting to see how this has progressed, its starting to look quite nice. Mush better without the hair. The monitors could do with a bit of work though, as they feature quite a few times it would be good to add some extra details, light, and buttons, air vents etc.

#23

Here is an update. Have to adjust the phrase on the hologram-display and build the projector of the hologram-display. Also I have an idea to replace those shelves, that I really don’t like… what do you think about it?

#24

Looking good I think the guy should pick up a little of the green light source

#25

great tip! thank you very much, surely I’ll put it

#26

This is the holo-projector. In the next post you’ll see how it’s used.

#27

This is how it works…

#28

just another holo-projector

#29

Even near the end…
