Wow! here we are at last. This is my first go at a CG Challenge. I’m off to put my thinking cap on!
Okay I have an image in my head of what I’m doing.
It’s going to be a woman clutching a group of doberman dog leashes. Who is controlling who? Who is Master and who is Servant? These Dobeman’s are not going to be ordinary dogs, oh no, they’re super evil mega doberman.
I’m not a big fan of dogs, more a cat man. I try to avoid drawing dogs whenether possible, silly old me chose to draw them so I’m doing a study in photoshop at the moment of how they are formed, colours, stance etc…
I’ve been googling for pictures of Doberman for my entry. I hate drawing dogs, so I’m going to have to pay attention to this part. Here are aome aketches I’ve done to get the hang of their structure/colour etc
Good luck to you.
As a cat person you then do understand who is the master with cats ( I was thinking to go in that direction but I’m still thinking)
Here’s my idea for the overall layout of the image. At the moment I’ve placed both of the in some kind of tunnel or arch-way, but I’m thinking I may change that to a tunnel of trees. Who knows…
The doggy took some time getting right. I found it a bit tricky to draw him at that angle. (I’m glad I didn’t enter the 2D:D )
Whoa!
Nice dynamic pov.
Your canine study looks pretty good. Were you thinking Doberman so you wouldn’t have to deal with shaggy fur?
Thankyou Henrik. I did a doberman because in my opinion, they are one of the meanest looking dogs. I could have done a shaggy poodle, but I don’t think it would of had the same effect.
Nixor- I’m glad you like the girl better. I’d worry if you prefer dogs!
I’m going to work on her face now. I want here to look a bit doll like almost TimBurton-esque…
Some more definition added to the characters. I’m not sure about the girls face so next step is for me to do a sheet of different style heads and faces for her. Then we’ll pick what suits her best!
Well, this is how I want the girl to look, I think. I’ve stuck some doodles around, mainly of eyes. I want her to look dark, but not too gothic.
Next step is to pick an outfit for her.
great idea! I have a doberman like this! Only make chest a bit bigger, I mean longer:) I’ll be watching you:twisted:
Good luck!
Arturro: Thankyou. I don’t have access to a doberman, so if I get desperate at a later date I may have to beg you for some detail photo’s
Cool sketchs for now , i love the girls face
For the composition , i think you should put the woman closer to the dog, she deserve to be near the camera
I’m currently drawing clothes in photoshop, trying to find an outfit that would suit the scene.
I’m really having doubts about the tunnel scene. I like the angle, but I feel I should flesh out the picture a little. Maybe I should move the pair outdoors.
Hmmm… Urban or Nature?
Just an Idea since you havent started modeling yet, but to have more of an impact in your image how about Dobermans that look like they are on steroids?..something like the dogs that were in the Hulk
Now that would say “Who is the master and who is the servant?”
Good luck with whatever you choose.
KidMesh: As I mentioned somewhere near the beginning, I do indeed want the dog to be super evil. It’s a juxta’ of the doll like woman and the brutal, almost vampiric dog. I like the way in movies like the Omen, the dog is like some servant of evil, so I want her to look a little vampish, whilst maintaining a sense of purity.
I’m glad you’re on my wavelength.![]()
