Latest Update: Concept Sketch: A Favor for Love
Scratched this out in Photoshop today, still revising it a bit - but this gives a pretty good idea of what I’m going for.
The idea behind it is essentially a ‘slave to seduction’.
Its designed so that your eyes start in the upper left, at the females face - there you see her determined, commanding glare as she speaks to her lover. As your eyes slide down you see his face (which at the moment looks goofy, but I’m working on it :P) with a blank, almost hypnotized gaze. Your eyes are lead farther down where you see their hands touching, with pale white bands on their ring fingers. Farther… you see the gun, and finally the non-matching wedding bands. What has he done, or will he do for her? Thats kinda the reaction I was going for. Its a fairly simplistic scene, and the facial expressions will probably make-or-break it - seemed like a fun approach.
I’m glad to see a challenge like this that focuses on human nature and narrative, deffinatly a nice break from the mostly sci-fi stuff.
