Sorry for the delay. We got back in port monday and its been a hectic work cycle. Plus I waned to spend all my free time with the girlfriend.

so here are the wires for the neck area. How do I get that wrinkle outta there?

I didnt know about displacement maps or how to use them. I wish I did before I started on the robe.

This is my concept sketch. The idea is this:

In a post-apocolyptic future the few remaining pockets of humanity are ruled over by Techro Kings. Despotic Sorcerer-Scientists who use occult science to force ghosts to inhabit wrecked and lifeless robot bodies to fight for them.

I want to go for a feel somewhere between Return of the Living Dead and the scene from A.I. where flesh fare dudes were rounding up robots. We’ll see how it pans out.

wow…i sorta imagine lotsa minions crawling out or something. and ghosts possesing robots in someway eerie. nice sketches too.

Started Modeling the techromancer’s robes. I modeling this guy posed instead of trying to rig him. Im already exploring stuff that I never thought I could do. Im not happy with the bottom part of the robe. And C&C would be greatly appreciated.

Your thread is addictive as soon as i saw your concept of the robot … i was in but never replied… this is going to be a really kewl image… Awesome model of the robe by the way… can you post some wires (only if you want to) thanks dude…

wow, impressive skull (actually seen your robe-top-part-w-skull in entries gallery I thought that is a character :slight_smile: It could be an evil robo-demon )))
O.K. Back to bussiness. About bottom part of a robe - to make it look better you can add not just a noise deformation but deform with straight lines (as in your drawing!).
Great modelling!

it seems to me like there is an error in the mesh on the robe. onb the collar in the back left and right there are some weird pinching effect. . . it may just be the lighting though, can we see a wire?

I love your idea.

Nice modeling, but tdawg217 is right there is something wrong on the collar. For some reason renders look like to me like you are using LightWave, if so it might be that you have a triangles there.

Also very important like Ge.Zus wrote you need a human in the picture. According to rules you need at least one human. And your Sorcerer looks cool but too demon like.

Over all great work, keep it up.:thumbsup:
