Well the last few days were enjoyed because it was the holiday weekend which meant I had a four day vacation. That allowed me to really move kinda quickly and I knew I needed to take advantage of that time. Now it’s back to work and back to managing my time wisely by at least doing a little something everday. In a nutshell, my updates proably wont be as frequent like 3 to 4 a day as before…proably just 1 a day until the weekends

Troof - LOL, the poor thing…we will see how scared or suprised I can morph him/it later

Darkskills - We if that’s the reciepe for success for me, go a few days each week until the contest is over :scream:

Wow, thanks guys the support mechanism in the CGTALK community is really awesome. We all get lost in a world of polygons and vertices for hours on end at times. But it’s nice to know that when you submerge your work reveals at least a half decent job that is reflected in your peers comments. This is really one of those times where you care what people say. Thank you

alex.h - Thank you, glad you went and looked as I hoped to prove I wasnt crazy lol

the1st_angel
- Thanks

Virtuoso - I know exactly what you mean man, I guess from a judges standpoint I wanted to make sure that they realized non of these models had ever been modeled before and that I was starting from scratch. But I will proably refine them in places where I hope it is a visually marked improvement. Thank you for the kind words.

jddog
- Thanks man, just trying to do a little each day.

ninox
- Your Fallen King is looking awesome man, thanks for the compliment as Im looking forward to the texturing part as well.

Tremoside
- Yeah, since I work during the week I was kinda nervous about how to manage, wife, kids, dog, etc…so I felt like my productivity would lax a little. But I budgeted sometime (made a deal with the wife). So hopefully things will move smooth during the week :)

#153

Great progress Kid Mesh :applause:

#154

This is coming on real good - your doggys expression is priceless. He will be a great companion to your thief. Very well done

#155

Wow Kid M you sure pushed the tempo here. Nice start on the servent. Lookin forward to see em in a scene together

#156

woof, thats ugly!

:D:D

joking, its good so far, but I think the jaw is too far down, Ill have to look at the ref again to be sure though. I can definatly see the “concept” but it doesnt match it quite exactly… just keep tweaking bro!

EDIT: kk im looking at the concept now and I am seeing that the jaw isnt as far down as it is in the model. also it looks like you have bigger eyes in the concept, I think that would definatly add in your model  and you need a stonier profile  haha but then again thats just your drawing style :stuck_out_tongue:

Great job so far!

#157

Here is just a very rough & quickie update on the servant character. I still havent had a chance to re-tweak the face…yet. But my goal is to get the body modeled so I can rig both him and the master by the weekend.
This guy is going to have arms that are a little bit longer than his legs. His movement style is chimp like and so is his posture when standing…I hope this helps you to visualize the style of creature “it’s supposed to be”

Back to pushing verts.

#158

Geta-Ve - LOL, man your killing me right now!..stickler for the details but that’s cool hehe. Yeah Im going to try and work it out really I am. My main goal atm is to just get the majority of the stuff modeled and rigged so I can have time for texturing and composition. The more time I have on the back end to tweak the better…if I start tweaking too much now, the perfectionist in me will slow me down

3dRaven - Yeah me too, Im hoping my idea was sound lol.

Gunilla - Could you please tell that to Geta-Ve…Please? LOL j / k Geta

ps.pl - Thanks dude

#159

looking good so far!

Yeah, your goblin is looking a bit like a dog atm, but that’s not a problem at this stage. finish roughing that little bugger out, then tweak away! :wip: (maybe he should look more like a small monkey?)

I’m liking your wireframe views quite a bit. The fact that I can see how you’ve arranged your edge loops helps me out with my much messier model. :banghead:

Looking forward to more!

hahahaha

I just want you to do your best man  Though I gotta realize my style is not everyone elses working style

maybe your pet can be my santas reindeer
