Dimitri - Yeah Im itching to model the creature because it’s the main point of emphasis in my concept so I cant wait.

Blue Cougar
- Thanks man, Ditto!

ArtisticVisions - Thanks, the gloves and the jacket were fun to do. But the goatee LOL yeah it sort of “Action Figurish (sp?)” ala G.I. Joe style. But I found a nice little tutorial vid clip today on modeling braids. I think Im going to experiment with that and see what happens.

Keep going bro, come on Aim

#103

very great progress, great modeling, thanks for the little crack up before, i needed that badly.
keep it up mate!

#104

Your latest update looks great. I dont know if those extra wire views would help, seems I’m just having a problem moving the vertices, but looking wont hurt;) (email).

#105

stripe - Im defininte pushing for the finish line on this one, thanks

the1stAngel -
Thanks, and I know what you mean because we have the hard job of trying to please our own kind ( artist ) which at sometimes we can come of a little too cynical and dont even know it or even realize it. But if my previous reply made you smile then that’s great because it was a geniune.

ace4016 - Hey man the spirit of CGTALK is sharing of information and comradery. Check your email…hope that helps

#106

Nice progress Anthony. Thiefs coming along quite nicely. Love the little details in the gloves. What method are you going to use to render him?? Toon or realism??

#107

3dRaven - Thanks, Well Im not really leaning towards toon and he is too stylized to be very realistic. So somewhere in the middle like what you would see for high poly video game trailer or something. Defintely textured though because that is one of the area’s im focusing on for this challenge to learn and grow.

#108

thats it dude… cool man models looking great deserves a bounce :bounce: looking great awaiting updates…

#109

Cute concept, and you’re off to a great start with the models. Good luck! (Not too much luck, tho… I need to keep some of the luck for myself  )

#110

Just getting into a groove on the lower half. Still early with the pants, maybe a few more defined wrinkles here or there then its off to the sasha (sp?) that hangs down in the front and boots time!

#111

Latest update, tweaked the pants a little more and added the sasha (sp?). The pants will be something I will proably tweak until the cows come home. Now it’s time to make these boots, I’ve been looking forward to this part all weekend because I have no idea how the hell their gonna turn out, but I plan on sticking close to the concept sketch.

#112

Here is an early prototype for the boots based on the sketch, still alot of tweaking left.

Gotta model those soles  will proably look at my boots for that.

#113

been busy i see, great stuff.

#114

Nice going on the pants. I think the wrinkles on the pant leg shouldn’t start until the knees; I would think the pant legs would be straight around the thighs, and as they get closer to where the boots they get more wrinkled. You could also make the wrinkels a bit asymetric. Just a few suggestions.

Once again, thanks for the help:thumbsup: .

#115

btw pertinent observation ace4016…
Really nice modelling
:wip:
jdd

#116

Well this is it for the update on the boots, I will proably tweak them further but Im happy with them for now.
Now I just need to go back and tweak the pants more and define some better wrinkles…but the “Master” is about in the can.

BTW…the boots were very fun to do although I wouldnt be caught dead in these lol.

#117

cool! u have cirtainly put a good informative show for us:thumbsup: Kid Mesh!!

#118

ace4016 - I hear you man  , Im retweaking the pants as we speak…trying to get rid of the DragonBall Z feel LOL. But the boots and the wrinkles have been a little bit of a pain time wise because I had to model them asymetrically, hell I would have been done hours ago!

alex.h. - Yep, when you have a demanding day job you have to take advantage of the weekends  and since this was Easter holiday weekend I was able to FLY.

jddog - Thank you sir.

yunsirees - Too kind, too kind. If anyone can benefit from the wires have it  Im not as skilled as some of the heavy hitters in this contest so dont let me walk you down the wrong path on certain things.

#119

like the boots, (i like a pair of them), see you and

#120

Wow its been a busy 4 days modeling wise

So now Im going to adjust my porportions and attach every thing to the Master. But atm im at a bit of a crossroad, Im really in a modeling groove and Im ready to start the “Servant” tommorow. But…I also want to rig the Master now and pose him so I can see that

Pfftt, I’ll proably start modeling the servant just to get that knocked and then rig them both back to back. Im just hoping that the servant doesnt come out looking like “Stripe” from “Gremlins” lol.
