Beautiful color tones! Very French “bande dessine” style, which I like a lot. The glows and hilights on the skin are just superb.

I do have to say that with the bright purple, she no longer comes off to me as a bride, but that may be something that will be hard to achieve with universal (well, global) comprehension. In my country, white is the color for brides to wear. In China, I believe, it’s red. So you’ll never get a color that reads “right” everywhere, and I have no good solution for you. Likely, you’ve got the right one now: Give her a bouquet and stick her in a church and let the setting speak. Have you thought about putting a cummerbund on the monster? :slight_smile:

Sweet color study ! I actually love the picture you had of the reptile creature facing sideways than how it’s facing now. It just seems to look better to me because the creature looks more threatening and much bigger in comparison to the bulging eye verse thats facing at an angle. But i dont know, they are all very good to be honest, and I love your color work and line work. Tell me, do you plan on painting above the line art layer aswell ?

I like the image composition that your’re going for. You may want to thin down the meat behind her breast though, so that she looks slimmer. Just my 2 cents.

I really like your piece…the creature is pretty cool, but I really dig your woman…she has a very strong presence. Your color test looks nice too, but I hope your keeping the expression from the lineart? I really liked that no-nonsense, kickass look she had :slight_smile:

Just a question really…possibly a crit, I don’t know… I’m wondering why you chose the egyptian Ankh as the symbol on the bride’s choker. I am familiar with the symbolism and the meaning behind it, but I’m not sure how you are incorporating it into this piece?

Not sure if it matters because intent is a lot of what goes into art…not trying to get picky here, I really like what you are doing with this piece. I was just curious about that symbol because it stands out in the painting.

This is looking really nice. I’d just say careful with the muscles, dont make them too big, that way you get more of a contrast between the beasty and the girl.
Otherwise this is looking good.

Well, I not entire satisfaid with this pic, so I spent the last 2 days, testing new compositions and other stuffs… but…nothing seems to fit, until now:sad: …maybe I should take a break or something…

ANARKY: yeah, this muscles…I’ll pay attention on that.

Elaeria: about the Ankh, if you know the meaning, its related to the fact: the bride transform your fiancé into a slave… for all eternity…immortality aspect.:thumbsup:
