Master and Servant 2D Entry: Thomas A. Hassing

#1

Thomas A. Hassing has entered the Master and Servant 2D.

Challenge Page

Latest Update: Concept Sketch: Initial idea’s

Okay, my main subject for this challenge is the Kingdom. In a kingdom, who is slave, and who is master?

When looking at it plainly, one would conclude the ‘working’ people (farmers, bakers, you name it) are slaves of the rich and mighty people.
In an honest kingdom a king will always try to do it’s best for the people, but will have to answer to a council of rich and influent men.

My idea is to make a sort of poster for this. I’m still thinking about a right way to display it. In the middle the face of the king, thinking about his problems. He’s being torn apart by the needs of the common people and the demands of the powerful council. Then in the bottom right have the people itself, and in the top left have the king discussing with the council.

Here is a sketch of the king’s face. It’s a photo of a pencil/paper sketch, taken with a digital camera, so quality is not very good! Sorry :stuck_out_tongue:

Hello great artists of CGTalk

I know I am entering really… REALLY late but I just wanted to give it a shot. See what I am able to do. This will be my first challenge and I already have some ideas in mind. I will post sketches/wips as soon as they are available.

Good luck to all!

Regards,
Thomas.
