Latest Update: Concept Sketch: A Servant for the Master - sketch

Here’s my first rough concept for the Master and Servant Challenge. The story involves the initial meeting between the Master Griffin and his new indentured servant, a human child. She is the first human to be employed by this particular Griffin society. There’s more to this story, and I’d like to show a bit of that in the various expressions of all the characters and how they interact with each other. Should be fun!

Cool idea!

What if you cropped in closer to show the relationship between the griffin and the child? Right now it’s sort of hard to tell who the main players are in your scene.

Are those other humans who are tending the griffin in front? They look like they might be giant mice or something.

Nice idea you got there. Would be good if you bring the interaction between the child and human upfront in the picture instead, it gives the story your’re trying to tell more prominence . Just my 2 cents

Awesome! Very simple and nice! And I’m real happy to see someone using Griffins, I love Griffins! Can’t wait to see how it comes along!

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll be posting some more concept variations tonight or tomorrow when I have a bit of time after work.

neat concept.very very emotive…I agree the child should be more in the forefront, but the vastness of this image works real well…maybe if you do some rearranging and send the mice-tended griffins to the rear instead…and bring the new childs master griffin in front… also if you give some special feature to the griffin with the child, maybe to show its higher positioning in the society, due to which maybe its got away with teh heretic act of actually even considering a stupid human for a servant…BAhhhh…lol :smiley:
