Sylvain Liégeois has entered the Master and Servant 2D.

Latest Update: Line Art: “no title”

A woman with little guys, it was my first concept (humoristic).
It was too difficult to find good composition. The character were too little to “fill” the image.
So, less humour, more dramatic mood. I can now begin to work seriously.

top image : first strokes of the bodies.
low : some drapery : an essay to do a better and nicer filling of the image.

I thought the man could hold something. A rose in right hand.
I hesitate over what woman must to do : with help of woman nails, blood flow on the man arm, and she lick it. Other idea (less bloody) : the man hold a cup of champagne ; and the liquid flow.
But i love the idea of touch of red if i choose the blood…

really really quick draft to choose dominant colors, hues :
red and gold to contrast with a dark background (not yet designed nor “thought”).
no attempt at this time to render correct anatomy, proportion, or pretty hairs.

*Scene : 1 woman and many little guys (not yet designed).
They will serve the woman. (here we can see a sketch of one of them who is beeing food)

*Concept : women and men relationships in love. Men like… to love ; women like… to be loved.
Finally, the most of time women are “masters” and men “servants” in “heart business”. Even if men think the contrary :wink:

Next work :

[li]take away the scene to give space for the little guys. (and add possibility to play with more multiple bulks (?) )[/li][li]put down cushions at the floor[/li][li]design the “little guys”[/li][li]continue to search hues and harmony in colors.[/li][/ul]

Always researchs on sketch :

HUES : I’ve chosen the dominant hue for this floor. Now, i have my Three hues : yellow/gold, dark red (like crimson), and blue/purple. must fine-adjust luminosity etc.

SCENE : I put down the “cushion” at the floor.
I put a first element (very “sketched”) concerning the “little guys”. Others will come after to complete the scene.

next post only when i will find the design of guys, and find their “tasks” (i’ve many ideas :)). Next upload will be the line art certainly. (i hope…)

An advice : after you have cleaned your fan cpu… don’t forget to plug in the cord again…
Result : i must work on my image at resolution of 3500x2000 with a PII 350 instead of my “late” athlon 1,33. I let you imagine how “painter” works on it.
But i will try to begin painting with…

My concept has not changed but my mood yes : so i prefer an softer and smoother atmosphere, with pastel colors and… some piece of muslin ^^

No line art, i will work directly with color dabs. I hope…
If not, it doesn’t matter : i will finish it later, after the challenge, when i will have a new cpu.

New mood, new color range.
Same concept but i prefer to give an softer and smoother atmosphere. Colors are a part of the concept. I will precise the concept when i will have time to write more correct english.
To summarize : in love, Women are “masters” and men “servants”.

The “centring” will be made only at the end, after final coloring.
