I want this piece to mimic a 1950s body snatchers movie theme. I want the woman to be holding an alien and offering it to the viewer. I’m using some forced perspective and may have to increase the size of her hand to sell it more.
Oh man am I ever starting late. There are so many great entries. This first sketch explored the idea of a little girl with a big behemoth rock creature. I wanted to have the little girl commanding the creature to squish the bug but after seeing how many other entries explored this concept (little master, big servant) I decided to ditch the idea.
This is the concept I’m going to develop. I want an extreme closeup of a big squishy alien taking over the will of a human.
interesting concept… would be cool if there was some real anxiety in the humans face (clenched teeth etc) and maybe if you viewed it looking slightly up at the face and creature. Best of luck with it!

Thanks redfrog. I gave your suggestions some thought and I want the person to have a blank, hollow expression because they will already be under the control of the squishy alien. Well, at least I hope I can get it to read that way…
