Master and Servant 2D Entry: Orlando Fonseca Jr.

#7

hmm, what do you say we make a little battle, my dragon and robot, against your soldiers  ?

Well, it’s kind of good (especialy an idea  ) BUT , and this is BIGGG BUT, you must find much, much better angle. Try to do it from a perspective of one of the toy soldiers. Perhaps one that is fallen to the ground on the back and sees his comrades and child from down to up. I think that would be much better.
BTW do you like ANGRA?

abraçao boa sorte

Yeah the perspective on that sketch sucks and i know that  hehehe
I’m working on it, i already have an idea of the composition that i want, and yes i like angra, i think i’ve got to 3 or 4 concerts of them.
Keep workin’.

#10

the idea is very nice man, but you´ve got to improve the face of the boy. It looks weird
and Angra used to be better before :stuck_out_tongue:
and I will hold the impulse of saying something in portuguese too :stuck_out_tongue:
see ya!

#11

Hehehe, thanks, weird is a nice way to say that the face sucks, because i think that too lol. I hope i can post some better sketches soon as possible, with some better faces on it. And i also think that Angra is cooler in the past.

#12

Hi Orlando!

Man, i like your concept, amazing for sure! (already told you that). Just keep working in this piece!! it’s coming nicely!

#13

great concept. Reminds me of the movie “Honey I Shrunk the Kids”… Looking good, keep going !

#14

I totaly agree about Angra - Matos is the KING !

#15

Little time to do cool stuffs sucks…well i did this little Main Character study. The Boy who rule all the toys, his clothes are bigger them him…
I’ll try to post more often, and i hope i can post a colored wip os this drawing by today or tomorrow.

#16

Just a color test, i’ll try to post some composition roughs this week, and try to think in some final scene.

#17

Another Character study. That one looks more like Dennis the menace, i like this one more than the big clothes one…well i didn’t decide wich one i’ll use, and i’m drawing some compositions, more posts to come, maybe a color rough on this draw.

#18

Just a color test on the last sketch. I still like this one most than the other sketch of the Toy Master that i’ve done before. I’ll start to work in some final look of this, work (a lot) more on the face and stuff, little details, and of course, the final concept with the whole set of toys.

#19

So far - so good - keep it up!

I’ve been thinking and got to something to the final composition, i’ll start to work on this soon as possible. It’s something like this: The Toy Master boy open up his toy’s closet and they are in the foreground, maybe just some gijoe’s heads and in the middle of the image and in the background the face of the boy. It’s hard to explain…but here is a photo reference that i made in my mom’s cristal closet (i don’t know if this the proper name of that…)

Well, here’s the final idea. The boy, the Toy Master, is open the toy’s closet. All the toys are in war poses. The toys are in the foreground and the boy in midlle of the scene. the closet’s doors are made of wood and glass, and in the glass of the door theres some reflex or something else. The boy have a evil eye look and smile. Well that’s it. This is the first sketch, and i’ll work on that from now on.

#22

That’s a little more of what’s in my mind to the final composition. Bigger face, and more treating look. Now that’s kind of what i like, i’ll start to think on the toys, the light and wood texture to the closet.

#23

A detail of the boy’s face. I got some time to work on this today and i’ll detail a little more on the face, and on the toys in the foreground. I’ll try to post some more today or this week.

#24

I start to put the toys in the image, the mecha is the first, i’m looking for some old toys around the house to get references…well that’s it. Back to work.

#25

looks very promising ,i’ll keep my eyes on it
