Master and Servant 2D Entry: Linda Bergkvist

#621

I Quit… u r the master!

#622

I’ve been lurking, I have to finally come out and say absolutely beautiful  Love the colours, the very first pose sketches don’t hold anything to what you’ve got now (Nature looked like she was inspecting a blown-up doll :stuck_out_tongue: Sorry that’s totally irrelevant now ^^;) I like the expression of the human girl, almost like she’d take a big bite of Nature if she could! And is that rotting flesh I see on Nature’s thigh where human girl’s bloody hand is almost touching her?

The details are phenomenal. Only crit is, and it’s probably just me, or it was intentional from the beginning… but Nature has got some pretty huge feet! They’re quite square and bulky, the length isn’t such a problem but it’s how wide they seem.

#623

Well, you know what they say Linda, “The devil’s in the details”, and your demonic devotion towards that particular area is somewhat unnerving! Go and lie down for a little bit.

#624

I love the dying animals near the girl, they kinda remind me of “All that I love is gone” :). You sure stick to your original vision!

#625

This is a gorgeous painting but I kinda agree that the statement of master and servant isnt too clear.

#626

Very nice!! At first i thought they might be lovers, but that might just be my male brain kicking into gear  In fact I guess they are in a way after reading your description. Love the dragging of the feet on the servant, the poses are fantastic. To me this would be a finished piece and framed in the Louvre, but I guess everyone has different standards.

Best of Luck,

nathan

Linda,

Did you post the idea behind this and I missed it?

Fabulous as I have come to expect.

God… your work continues to inspire and amaze me every time I come to this thread.

I swear, if I can ever get my artistic skill to even a 1/10th of your level, I’d consider myself incredibly fortunate…

#630

That is fascinating!:applause:

#631

Linda, I wish I could work at a high res like you but alas my computer could not handle it. LOL Your latest image is amazing…

#632

Ooh, nice…seeing some details I missed before.

A bit late to worry about, but Nature’s pose doesn’t look quite right to me…her lower body (especially feet) say she’s holding up the other woman, but her upper body doesn’t seem to show it as much. Based on the other woman’s pose, it looks like Nature is supporting her entire weight, and I guess I’d just expect to see a bit more strain…maybe a lowering of the shoulders or something.

I don’t know, it’s hard to tell. Damn fine looking in anycase, really love it!

#633

Nice, very nice. I would like to see this on a big wall or something because my monitor can’t show all the nice details. It’s very beautiful, it has a nice autumn feeling. And I also want to know where you work, please tell us?

#634

Drawing dead stuff is fun  really nice effect the animals withering away creates a whole new element to the scene very nice

Really like your work linda but I don’t really see the connection between the master and the servant thing. Sorry but it just look like two lovers or something. Not dissing you or anything because the painting is fantastic, just I need to see a clear defination of the subject at hand.

#638

oh my…(if i could swear, then this would be the space i would do it in) , that is damn awesome man.

Really can’t imagine how good its going to be when finished.

Truly gifted and talented.
