Thanks to everyone whos visited so far and thanks for your comment. I think ive now got my story sorted out it reads as follows:

A strong man, a powerful man with more power than anyone could ever imagine and all the things that he has ever desired is tormented. As fortunate and powerful as he seems to be he is a man caught in a struggle by two demons inside of him. The bad/darkness and the good/light are his masters and he is caught in a never ending battle between the two. The demons are his masters and they play their games and make him the man that he is, his body and nature is strong but his will is weak and the two opposing force rule every bit of his mind body and soul.

He has returned from a great trial and is physically and psychologically exhausted. Ruined by the things he has seen and the deeds he has commited because of the influence of his demons. He has one thing that keeps him in ballance and it is in the form of his faithful servant. His servant is there to support and protect his master and help him survive his demons, but which side does his servant follow? Does the servant allow the good/light to take him or the bad/darkness?

I really want to show a range of contrasting emotions and roles and show a sort of heirachy of power where the demons controlling the man and tearing him apart deciding his fate. Although he is supposed to be in control, which side is controlling him? and rather than showing the weak and degraded servant, what ive always thought is that the reflection of the man should be represented by the adoration and loyalty of his followers. So ive decided to show a powerful and honourable servant that helps his master and needs him to live in order to keep on serving his master not just because its his job but becuase they are have a common respect and friendship. But in terms of which demon wins i have yet to decide…

would love to know what you guys think, if you have any suggestions let me know. Goodluck with your entries guys.  Having my idea sorted out i can wait to start knocking out some sketches and get the composition going. Ill try to knock out some roughs during my lunch break at work and post them up later today. Have a good one. K

Not really happy with the look of the image yet im still keeping it fairly rough, i want to get the poses and the arrangement of the figures worked out.

atm it seems to me that perhaps the two demons are a bit overwhelming and im going to lose the slave (still have to work him out). Im thinking of moving the demons further away from the master character somewhere on the periphery of the composition but i still want them to be in control somehow. Atm im trying to show that the darkness is clouding/messing with the masters mind and the light is playing with his heart.

The slave character is sort of intended to be shown lifting the master by his arm and away from the two beasts. Ill scan in some of the detailed sketchwork of the characters faces. Just to show the personality/emotion im trying to capture in the final image. Thats next. Thanks to everyone whos stopped by, i appreciate the support. cheers.

Ive just had a brainstorm and ive figured out the scenery and the setting of the scene. Its going to be in an underground parking garage and the master has just arrived, and stumbled out of his car and is slumped down in front of the vehicle. Im hoping to create something urban and modern/contemporary looking but with a supernatural undertone.

The master is going to be wearing a suit and tie and look disheveled and the his servant is in a traditional butlers outfit with a couple of modifications.

The picture is getting much clearer in my mind, hopefully i can get the final line work done by the time i get back from easter holidays. Btw, HAPPY EASTER!! to everyone, have a good one.

Just another rough sketch, must push on.

#16

no comment, although i think that i have decided to hide the masters face while he is slumped over. Ill leave the expressions up to the demons and the servant.

#17

Good stuff man. Good stuff. Everyday I feel that way on a day to day basis, just damn tired.

#18

I like the red one. I fancy drawings with a lot of characters in them. Kind like looking back on story and getting to see all the characters again after its done.

#19

Just trying to work out the pose for the main guy, still have to knock out the bugs. ill sketch out a rough layout for my composition tonight and start on my linework asap.

Hey nice start sketchfiend.
Just make sure you leave enough time for the final piece. I’ll be watching! (Insert whip crack sound effect)

Just another addition to my posts, gotten around to the dark demon, just thinking about which pose to work him into. Undecided as yet, i have to see which one the light demon fits into the best. Thats in the next post.

Thanks to everyone who’s stopped by and especially those who have took the time to post a comment, i appreciate the support. Cheers and goodluck with your own entry.
