masks, lock points, group masks in fu5.3

hey all!

i got a few questions about masks, i hope you can help me solve. i couldn’t find any tutorials covering this, so if you got them, i would like to hear.

well… to the questions:

  1. is it possible to group masks? say, if you are to rotoscope a full character, you’d perhaps like to mask arms, body and legs seperately, still like to move them around as a whole.

  2. is it in anyway possible to lock points on your masks? like if you masked out an object through a 300 frame sequence, setting keys on every second frame. then you find out you have to pull 3 points down to cover a bit more.
    so instead of doing that move on all the keyframes you previous set, i wonder if you can get fusion doing that. like setting a master key position.

hope you understand what i meant. hehe

for the second part:
this is only possible in Fu6, there you have the option to do a overall adjustment to maskpoints.

for the first part:
maybe a transform after all your mask is enough
