Mannually adjusting a ground plain after tracking and 3d solve

#1

When tracking and doing a camera solve often there are no good points to track for the ground so I can not set the ground plain as described in this video,

Does anyone know a way to do this manually?

Also if I take hight measurements from the floor to the camera is there a way to use this data to more accurately build a scene with the tracked footage?

Thanks,
Mark

You don’t have to use the floor. Any flat surface with good tracks on it will do. Or two straight lines with tracks on it (in that case use two vector constraints).

Camera to floor is not a useful measurement. Ideally you make a few measurements while shooting your footage that are in view of the camera and have some easy to track/measure features. You can then use a vector constraint to scale your solve accordingly.
