Making character lift object - IK/FK issues

Hi there,

I am trying to follow this tutorial on having a character lift an object (http://youtu.be/Xe0VmqD2Lgk?t=4m40s) using parent constraints. I am having difficulty because I moved the arms with FK, but if I grab the arrow around the wrist to switch it to IK for the controller, the arm moves back to it’s original position.

I need to either know how I can seamlessly switch from FK to IK after I moved the arms down already for access to the controller or some other way to have a character lift an object with both hands without the IK controller parent constraint.

Well without having look into the files you posted… did you set keyframes on the FK controls first before switching to IK?

But if you want to snap IK to the position of the FK joints you would need to snap the IK handle to the wrist and the IK polevector to the elbow or a point in the solvers plane.
